Call for Experts: Join ACTED’s Consultancy Roster for Climate Change Adaptation, DRR, and Resilience
ACTED is pleased to announce the launch of a pre-vetted consultancy roster to identify qualified professionals specializing in climate change adaptation (CCA), disaster risk reduction (DRR), and resilience building for potential short- and mid-term assignments in Moldova and the wider region.
This initiative aims to establish a pool of experts who can provide technical expertise, strategic guidance, and capacity-building support for future ACTED projects. Selected consultants will be contacted based on project needs and funding availability.
Thematic Areas of Expertise
We welcome applications from professionals with experience in:
- Climate change adaptation strategies
- Disaster risk reduction (DRR) and preparedness planning
- Early warning systems and risk monitoring
- Climate risk assessments and vulnerability analyses
- Green infrastructure and nature-based solutions
- Community-based resilience and capacity-building
- Policy and advocacy related to CCA/DRR
- Other relevant fields in humanitarian and development contexts
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Advanced degree in environmental sciences, climate studies, disaster management, engineering, social sciences, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in CCA, DRR, or resilience programming.
- Prior work in Eastern Europe, humanitarian settings, or development projects (preferred).
- Fluency in English and Romanian (required); knowledge of Russian, is an asset.
- Strong analytical, training, and advisory skills.
