Handicap International “HI” (operating as Humanity & Inclusion) is an independent and impartial international aid organization working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. Working alongside persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, our action and testimony are focused on responding to their essential needs, improving their living conditions and promoting respect for their dignity and their fundamental rights.
HI is currently opening a multi-sectoral life-saving assistance to displaced and non-displaced populations in Ukraine such as :  Protection, shelter, health, NFIs, food security and livelihoods, water, sanitation, hygiene, and education and strengthening and supporting access to mental health and psychosocial support; provision of basic and domestic items including food, unrestricted cash assistance, and core relief items.

 

1.Working conditions:

Different positions opened in different locations of MOLDOVA

3 months renewable

Line Manager: Project Manager or Area Manager (with technical support of MHPSS Specialist and Inclusive Humanitarian Action Specialist)

 

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Needs Identification and Assessment (holistic needs and resources assessment)
  • Leads the personalized support access to services through direct assistance to individuals and families and close liaison with HI and partners (provision of appropriate information, referrals, physical support to access services, monitoring of the access and appropriate response to needs identified, etc.)
  • Short term personalized social support
  • Monitoring and Reporting
  • Internal & External Coordination (within HI multidisciplinary teams, with INGOs & LNGOs, volunteers, national and municipal services, local associations, etc.)
  • Ensure ethical and professional practice

Involve in building your own & your colleague’s professional competences and abilities to increase care quality

 

3. Eligibility / Qualification

  • Applicant should be a resident of the intervention area
  • Degree/Diploma in Social Work or any other related fields
  • Experience working with vulnerable groups, specifically persons with mental health difficulties and/or persons with disabilities
  • Experience working with children
  • Experience in related work within National Social Protection services or NGO would be an added-value
  • Experience in community-based projects / activities
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating community training
  • Willingness and ability to work with people with mental health problems or disabilities
  • Good knowledge of community mobilization methods and tools
  • At least 2 years of experience in conducting awareness and community mobilization activities
  • Previous work in General Protection against violence, GBV, Child Protection and humanitarian response will be advantage.
  • Basic computer literacy and reporting skills
  • Good communication, interpersonal, team spirit and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, in security and conflict sensitive situations.

Mandatory

  • Ukrainian or Russian
  • Romanian
  • English or French

Optional

  • Any other extra language spoken will be of added value
