Working alongside persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, our action and testimony are focused on responding to their essential needs, improving their living conditions and promoting respect for their dignity and their fundamental rights.
HI is currently opening a multi-sectoral life-saving assistance to displaced and non-displaced populations in Ukraine such as :  Protection, shelter, health, NFIs, food security and livelihoods, water, sanitation, hygiene, and education and strengthening and supporting access to mental health and psychosocial support; provision of basic and domestic items including food, unrestricted cash assistance, and core relief items.

 

1.Working conditions:

Different positions opened in different locations of MOLDOVA

3 months renewable

Line Manager: Project Manager or Area Manager (with technical support of MHPSS Specialist and Inclusive Humanitarian Action Specialist)

2. Key Responsibilities

As part of the HI Multidisciplinary team:

  • Contributes to identification of vulnerable individuals / families and their needs assessment (holistic needs and resources assessment)
  • Contributes to the personalized support to access to services
  • Leads the provision of MHPSS services adapted to needs & resources:

- Group & Individual Psychoeducation and MHPSS awareness sessions

- Group & individual PFA sessions

- Group peer to peer support (adapted to different age, gender groups and inclusive of persons with disabilities)

- Specific children’s psychosocial support group (using different mediations such as play, sports,etc.)

- Provision of individual Psychosocial counselling and higher level of services upon needs and duration of possible support

  • Trains and provides technical support to volunteers providing help for refugees.
  • MHPSS activities’ Monitoring and Reporting
  • Internal & External Coordination (within HI multidisciplinary teams, with INGOs & LNGOs, volunteers, national and municipal services, local associations, etc.)
  • Ensure ethical and professional practice
  • Involve in building your own & your colleague’s professional competences and abilities to increase care quality

 

3. Eligibility / Qualification

  • Applicant should be a resident of the intervention area
  • Degree/Diploma in Clinical Psychology, other fields of Psychology / Mental Health / Psychosocial Support or any other related fields
  • Experience working with vulnerable groups, specifically persons with mental health difficulties and/or persons with disabilities
  • Experience working with children in distress
  • Experience in Protection against violence, GBV, Child Protection and humanitarian response will be of great added-value
  • Experience in related work within an NGO or organization in emergency or post-conflict setting
  • Experience in community-based projects / activities
  • Knowledge of Moldova social protection systems
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating community training
  • Willingness and ability to work with people with mental health problems or disabilities
  • Good knowledge of community mobilization methods and tools
  • At least 2 years of experience in conducting awareness and community mobilization activities
  • Basic computer literacy and reporting skills
  • Good communication, interpersonal, team spirit and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, in security and conflict sensitive situations.

Mandatory

  • Ukrainian or Russian
  • Romanian
  • English or French

Optional

  • Any other extra language spoken will be of added value
