- Context
The National Youth Council of Moldova (CNTM) is an associative structure comprising 37 youth organizations that advocate for youth rights and represent the interests of youth organizations in the development, implementation, and evaluation of youth policies. Established on February 18, 1999, CNTM operates based on the principles of solidarity, organizational and functional autonomy, transparency, freedom of expression, democratic governance, equality among members, and professionalism.
In response to the crisis in Ukraine and the challenges faced by refugees, CNTM, in partnership with NRC, implementing the project „Fostering Resilient Future through Youth-Led Initiatives and Transformative Education.” This initiative aims to support youth-led initiatives, foster personal and professional development, enhance educational programs, and promote a resilient future by engaging youth in decision-making processes.
To support youth integration and personal and professional growth, the National Youth Council of Moldova is seeking a dynamic and motivated intern to support its youth-focused initiatives and advocacy efforts of organisations. The intern will gain hands-on experience in project coordination, youth policy, international partnerships, and administrative tasks. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about youth empowerment and international cooperation.
The Intern will assist in organizing project-related events, engaging with beneficiaries and project partners, and contributing to the overall implementation of project activities.
- Purpose and Responsibilities of the Intern
The Intern will play a key role in ensuring the effective implementation of project activities, engaging both Ukrainian and Moldovan youth, and facilitating communication within the project with its beneficiaries.
This initiative provides an opportunity for interns to develop professional skills in project management, and community initiatives, as well as actively participate in project implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Project Implementation:
- Provide logistical and administrative support for workshops, training sessions, and events. organized during the contract period.
- Supporting communication efforts, including participant identification and coordination, registration, and event facilitation.
- Managing participant lists and preparing reports on completed activities.
- Attending weekly coordination meetings for planning and discussing project outcomes.
- Support in the monitoring and evaluation process of project activities.
2. Development and Implementation of Own Initiatives:
- Proposing and organizing mini-events aimed at personal and professional development.
- Developing creative ideas that contribute to achieving the project’s objectives.
3. Content Creation (Photo & Video Materials):
- Enhancing project visibility through the creation of photo and video content.
- Supporting the promotion of project initiatives and events.
4. Communication with Beneficiaries and Outreach to New Participants:
- Engaging with youth participating in the project.
- Expanding the project’s reach by informing new participants about available opportunities and initiatives.
- Supporting the development of a contact network to strengthen the project.
- Assist in managing CNTM’s social media platforms and online presence.
- Support the preparation of newsletters, press releases, and promotional materials.
5. Logistical and Administrative Support for the Project:
- Familiarizing with internal project management processes.
- Assisting the team with administrative tasks such as documentation, participant registration, attendance tracking, and reporting to gain a deeper understanding of NGO operations and project activities.
- Expected Outcomes
- Active participation in project activities and their successful implementation.
- Preparation of reports on completed tasks and project outcomes.
- Development and dissemination of informational materials.
- Increased youth engagement in educational and community initiatives.
- Strengthening intern competencies in project management, digital communication, and youth work.
- Candidate Requirements
- Age: 17-27 years.
- Refugee youth form Ukraine Legal status in Moldova (Temporary Protection/Residence Permit).
- Interest in youth non-formal education, and sustainable development.
- Proficiency in Russian, Ukrainian, and English. Knowledge of Romanian is not mandatory but would be an advantage.
- Experience in youth organizations or volunteering is an asset.
- Required Skills and Competencies
- Ability to work in a team, organizational skills, and initiative.
- Willingness to learn and develop new competencies.
- Proficiency in PC applications: Word, Excel, Internet tools.
- Time management and task prioritization skills, flexibility.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Photo-video editing skills.
- Internship Conditions
