Acted is looking for a Protection Case Worker

“Under the supervision of the Protection Case Supervisor, the Case Worker will be responsible of implementing activities to provide Protection Case Management to refugees from Ukraine and vulnerable Moldovans. Her/his main responsibilities will be to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of protection activities according to the methodologies and guidelines provided by ACTED, including beneficiary selection, assessment of protection needs, referral to relevant service and follow up until closure of the case.
The successful candidate will be based in Chisinau but will also work in other areas of the country where ACTED will be implementing its projects: the project aims to cover refugee accommodation centers in Moldova as well as other locations based on needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficient and effective provision of protection case management services to refugees from Ukraine and vulnerable Moldovans. Including but not limited to: conducting intake interviews, assessing the needs, develop a case plan, referral of the case to relevant service providers, follow up until case closure
  • Contribute to the mapping of services available to Ukrainian refugees
  • Liaise with service providers to ensure the safe referral of Ukrainian refugees to services
  • Support with the creation of reports and communication material

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of other languages such as Ukrainian, Roma dialects 
  • Experience coordinating with CSOs and CBOs
  • Degree in social sciences/social work/education/psychology 
  • Experience in the implementation of activities in the fields of education and/or social work 
  • Experience in conducting interviews and focus group discussions  
  • Experience with participatory and community-based approaches 
  • Knowledge of the Moldovan context 
  • Good knowledge of Romanian, English and Russian

The selection procedure consists of the following steps:

  • Collection of submitted CVs during the period until the deadline specified in the announcement (all CVs sent in accordance with the requirements are considered).
  • CV-analyzing the resumes based on the vacancy requirements.
  • Formation of a list of potential candidates, based on the score after CV-analysis.
  • Pre-interview by phone (just to clarify some details).
  • Invitation of candidates with a sufficiently high score after CV-analysis for a test.
  • Notification of the test results (within 1 week) and if the test is passed successfully invitation for an interview.
  • After the interview, sending a decision on the candidate (positive or negative), takes  within 1 week.
