Viitorul Parteneriatului Estic: ce priorități și obiective ar trebui să includă livrabilele post-2020



Institutul pentru Politici și Reforme Europene (IPRE), în cooperare cu Fundația Internațională Reinessance (IRF, Kiev) și Institutul pentru Politici Europene al Fundației pentru o Societate Deschisă (OSEPI, Bruxelles), în parteneriat cu Secretariatul Forumului Societății Civile al Parteneriatului Estic (FSC PaE, Forumul Estic al Vecinătății Uniunii Europene, think-tank-uri din UE și Parteneriatul Estic, a organizat joi, 9 iulie, o sesiune online de brainstorming despre viitoarele priorități și livrabile pentru Parteneriatul Estic după 2020, care urmează să fie propuse de Comisia Europeană la începutul anului 2021.

Evenimentul a adunat peste 50 de participanți - reprezentanți ai instituțiilor UE, cercetători și experți din țările UE și Parteneriatului Estic. Intervențiile acestora au inclus o serie de propuneri pentru consolidarea cooperării dintre Uniunea Europeană și țările Parteneriatului Estic (PaE), în special Georgia, Republica Moldova și Ucraina, țări asociate UE. Participanții au accentuat necesitatea dezvoltării un format de dialog cu al centrelor de cercetare cu reprezentanții guvernelor din țările Parteneriatului Estic, dar și a instituțiilor UE, pentru a continua consultările legate de noile livrabile pentru Parteneriatul Estic.

Rezultatele discuțiilor va sta la baza unei note de propuneri privind noile livrabile ale Parteneriatului Estic după 2020. Nota va fi elaborată în cadrul unui parteneriat al mai multor think-tank-uri din UE, Georgia, Moldova și Ucraina și va fi prezentată în toamnă Comisiei Europene, Serviciului European de Acțiune Externă, Parlamentului European, Miniștrilor de externe ai statele membre UE și celor trei țări PaE Asociate.  

Acest eveniment a fost organizat în cadrul proiectului „Establishing Policy Bridges with the EU”, implementat de IPRE, cu sprijinul Inițiativei Open Society Foundation for Europe (OSIFE).

Eastern Partnership in the next decade: Towards new ambitious deliverables - a focus on Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine

The Institute for European Policy and Reforms (IPRE), in cooperation with International Renaissance Foundation (IRF, Kiev), Open Society European Policy Institute (OSEPI, Brussels) and in partnership with the EaP Civil Society Forum Secretariat (EaP CSF), EU Neighbourhood East Forum, EU and EaP partner think-tanks organises on Thursday, 9th July, an online brainstorming session on the future deliverables and milestones for EaP beyond 2020. 

The online event brought together over 50 representatives of the EU institutions, researchers and experts to reflect on the key priorities of the EU’s EaP policy in the next decade with a particular focus on the Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The participants emphasized the need to further develop a structured dialogue of the think-tank community with representatives of the EaP governments and EU institutions, in order to continue the consultation process related to the new deliverables for the Eastern Partnership, to be proposed by the European Commission in early 2021.

The results of the discussions will be the basis for a Non-Paper with key proposals on the new deliverables of the Eastern Partnership after 2020. The paper will be developed in a partnership of several think tanks from the EU, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine and will be presented in autumn to the European Commission, EEAS, the European Parliament, the foreign ministers of the EU and three Associated EaP countries.

This event was organised in the framework of the IPRE’s project: “Establishing Policy Bridges with the EU”, implemented with a grant offered by the Open Society Initiative for Europe (OSIFE).
