Topic: Lesson planning and classroom management in teaching young learners

About: The workshop is a professional development event meant to share the knowledge acquired during the Teaching English to Young Learners, Spring 2019 Course, part of the American English E-Teacher Program sponsored by the US Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and administered by FHI 360.
It will provide teachers with knowledge about the age characteristics and peculiarities of teaching young learners, lesson planning stages along with some examples of classroom management.

The workshop will also focus on building lesson planning and classroom management skills.
Teachers will get acquainted with the principles of lesson planning for young learners and classroom management techniques based on age characteristics. There will be an overview of the lesson stages, examples of rituals and attention grabbers established in class and ways to deliver content to young learners.
