 Protection Case Worker - Chisinau & Edinet

ACTED is looking for a Protection Case Worker to join the Protection Case Management team.
Under the supervision of the Protection Case Supervisor, the Case Worker will be responsible of implementing activities to provide Protection Case Management to refugees from Ukraine and vulnerable Moldovans. Her/his main responsibilities will be to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of protection activities according to the methodologies and guidelines provided by ACTED, including beneficiary selection, assessment of protection needs, referral to relevant service and follow up until closure of the case.
The successful candidate will be based in Chisinau but will also work in other areas of the country where ACTED will be implementing its projects: the project aims to cover refugee accommodation centers in Moldova as well as other locations based on needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficient and effective provision of protection case management services to refugees from Ukraine and vulnerable Moldovans. Including but not limited to: conducting intake interviews, assessing the needs, develop a case plan, referral of the case to relevant service providers, follow up until case closure
  • Contribute to the mapping of services available to Ukrainian refugees
  • Liaise with service providers to ensure the safe referral of Ukrainian refugees to services
  • Support with the creation of reports and communication material

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Desirable: University Degree Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology or other relevant field
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Team player
  • Willingness to travel and work in remote, rural locations around Moldova
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of Russian/Romanian/Ukrainian
  • Desirable: Previous experience in the humanitarian sector and or working with refugees
  • Desirable: Experience working in Protection related areas
  • Desirable: English language
