Peace Corps Position Title: Community Integration Coordinator
Type: Full Time, Contractor
This position provides for the overall planning, implementation, management and evaluation of the language, communication, and cross-cultural skills development initiatives designed to promote successful community integration for Peace Corps Trainees and Volunteers.
Major Responsibilities:
- Training Design and Evaluation
- Resource Development, Management, and Distribution
- Training Logistics Administration
- Manages Volunteer Home Stay Program
- Coordinates (supervises) the work of temporary training staff.
Experience:
- Experience in teaching/training, design, management and evaluation.
- Experience in training teachers, trainers, and/or facilitators.
- Experience supervising teams.
Languages: Excellent knowledge of the Romanian, Russian, and English.
Knowledge:
- A thorough knowledge of Moldovan culture.
- A good grasp of US culture.
- A clear understanding of language training and adult training methodologies.
Skills and Abilities:
- MS Office proficiency
- Project management Skills
- Team peer leadership skills
- Team supervisory skills
- Ability to communicate professionally at various levels within an organization.
- Skill in translation of documents and correspondence, interpretation for meetings, speeches and conversations
Education: University/college diploma in a related area is required; an advanced degree in a related area is preferred.
