The EMI Training Academy is launching a photo competition open to youth from all countries! To participate, all you need to do it take a photo of something representing "The multicultural spirit of young generations" in your country and send it to us with a short comment. You should try to be relevant, original and artistic. The best photos will be published on our web site . The prizes are:

1st prize: Amazon Kindle e-book reader

2nd prize: Training Academy promotional material

Competition rules

Eligibility

Participants must be aged between 18 and 30. By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest and states that they are available to provide proof that they fulfill the age criteria.

Participation is open to students of all nationalities.

Competing photos

The theme of the competition is “The multicultural spirit of young generations”. Photos sent in should be an illustration of this theme in your country.

Participants must send only one photo to the e-mail address: Training-Academy(at)europeanmovement.eu. The e-mail must contain the following:

• Name, Surname

• Age (between 18-30)

• Country

• A short description of the photo (max 5 lines in Times New Roman 12)

• The photo attached to the e-mail

Requirements relative to the Photo

Each participant may send in one original photo only.

Photos subject to copyright are not eligible and will be disregarded. The European Movement declines any responsibility for the publication on its web site of photos subject to copyright.

Image modifications:

• No watermarks, signatures, or copyright notices may be added to images. All winning images will be displayed with the photographer's name.

• Artistic filters are not permitted

The deadline for sending photos is 15 February 2012.

Winning photos

An international committee composed of member organisations of the European Movement will select the 2 best photos according to the following criteria:

• Relevance to the theme

• Creativity

• Artistic dimension

The authors of the winning photos will be asked to send a copy of their ID card to prove that they are eligible for the competition. Winners will be asked to provide EMI a postal address to which the prize can be sent.

Prizes

The 2 winning photos will be posted on the Training Academy web site, with the name and country of the participant, including the short description of the photo. They will also be published in the news section of the EMI web site,on the Facebook group and sent out through the EMI newsletter.
