Company Agrotec SpA is looking for a young ambitious internationally oriented candidate for a vacant position on the EU funded project “Technical Assistance for the implementation of the Sector Reform Contract: European Neighbourhood Programme to Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD)  - EuropeAid/137050/DH/SER/MD.”

The position is for an Expert on Agricultural Competitiveness who will work with a senior expert on improving the competitiveness of the agricultural sector and ensuring sustainable management of natural resources.

The position can be considered as  a “Trainee-job”, so it is important to be willing to learn and develop competences during all assignment. Tasks will consist of, inter alia, the following:

  • Collect information from different sources
  • Analyse information and process / condense those for project purposes;
  • Elaborate reports
  • Assist training implementation
  • Support the Key Experts and Senior Experts in implementing their activities, and in particular in the communication between the stakeholders.
  • Additional tasks as required by the Team Leader


The expert required for this assignment should have:

  • A university degree in an appropriate agriculture or related discipline or at least 5 years of proven relevant professional experience;
  • Have experience of working within a Government Ministry and be familiar with civil service procedures;
  • subject related additional courses as well as studies abroad are an advantage;
  • professional experiences in international donor projects are an asset;
  • excellent analytical skills; and
  • excellent command of written and spoken English, Romanian (and preferably Russian).

In addition, the expert should have:

  • an outgoing personality with strong personal interaction and communication skills;
  • ability to work task- and output-oriented;
  • good oral and verbal communication, on-the-job training, as well as reporting skills; and
  • ability to work in multi-national and multi-cultural teams.
  • Be flexible and be prepared to work when requested by the Team Leader (working times will be agreed with the Team Leader for each month in advance and will depend upon the needs of the project)

Practical information:

  • The position is part-time (70 working days) in the period 4 September 2018 – 31 March 2019.
  • Place of work: Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, Constantin Tanase 9, Chisinau, with travel inside Moldova.
